Motivation

A quick note about motivation.

Both Jamie & Myself have been training in martial arts and fitness for many years and over that time we have felt different levels of motivation for training at different times.

I remember when first starting out, training multiple days per week for mammoth long training sessions and loving every minute of it. At other times, I remember feeling like training was just plain hard work. But during all of this we have both kept up regular weekly, training sessions. Part of that, I think has been down to having a clear set of goals about martial arts and fitness training.

My suggestion to you is to write down why you are training in Krav Maga (feel safer, get fitter, improve confidence, loose weight, stay healthy for my family, to be able to protect family & friends, meet and connect with new friends etc)

These reasons must be unique to you and your personal needs. Now use a fridge magnet and put the sheet up as a daily reminder. This will help keep your focus and reduce the chance of missing those important training sessions.

The beauty of Krav Maga is that because it is such a simple and intuitive system you can pick it up very quickly, but to be as good as you would like, nothing beats consistent training.
