Tech Class 2

Each tech discuss Problem / possible solution / dynamic technique

Slow technique from all angles & sides

Warm up stretch

Warm up by attacking shield held close to chest (attack without too much power!) using punches, knees and elbows, 2 rounds each

Tech 1

Gun disarm from front and side

Defend from front, remember redirection of weapon (get out of the line of fire)

At the same time body defence, counter punch 2-3 times and then disarm, retreat, with rear threat, look first for weapon, turn trap and counter, then disarm.

Tech 2

Defending medium circular stab.

This is a good technique as most students train against high and low 360 circular attacks and neglect those that could come at a medium height, with this tech you can use forearm high and low again control and counter, try also with the attacker using a spinning motion as he attacks

Tech 3

Defending side kick or charging attacker with defensive front kick

as attacker steps forward with a side kick, raise your foot and ‘’jam’’ his kick by pushing against the top of his thigh, as with the first tech, attacker moves forward, defender uses a defensive front pushing kick (use against a shield)

Finish with sparring using hands only 2-3 rounds

Cool down & stretch.
